Risk Information

There are risks involved in the activities you are undertaking, this tour takes place within native bush and on a river and as such comes with some potential risks, risks include but are not limited to:

  • Changing weather
  • Changing River levels
  • Earthquake
  • Flood
  • Storms
  • Wind
  • Tree falls
  • Capsize
  • Other boats / Swimmers

These risks can cause serious harm, drowning or death.

All guides are fully trained in river rescue & risk assessment.

At the get in point your guide will give you a safety briefing, with added safety & paddling instructions along the way. Clients must always follow the guides instruction.

Pelorus Eco Adventures guides will take all reasonable and practical steps to ensure your safety during your trip, however you are responsible for your own actions or inactions.

Before departure from base, you will be asked to fill in a registration form, to confirm your understanding of the above risks, disclose any medical conditions, and agreement to the following Terms & conditions.

Terms & Condition

All participants authorize Pelorus Eco Adventure to use any photographic video or digital images depicting me/us for any promotions, advertising or publicity or any other purpose associated with its business activities

All participants release and indemnify Pelorus Eco Adventures and staff from any liability for:

  • An accident or accidents involving personal injury, serious harm or death.
  • The loss of or damage to personal property taken on a trip.
  • The loss of or damage to personal property stored in our vehicle or at our base while on our trips.

Medical Release

All participants accept Pelorus Eco Adventures guides decisions in terms of first aid and further medical assistance or evacuation as they may find necessary.
All participants accept to pay all charges and accept all consequences that may be associated with such medical treatment or any evacuations undertaken.
